First, log in to your DX1 dashboard.

Adding Posts

1. Select the 'Edit Website' tile and navigate to your Blog page.

2. Click the NEW POST! button

3. The new page automatically opens on the Contents tab - which is the main post editor

  • Add a title in the field below "Title:"

  • Add content to the HTML editor

  • At this point you can click SAVE & the post will be created with the content being copied over to be used as the Post's Summary.

    • If the post has multiple paragraphs, only the first one will be used for the Summary.

    • Main Blog list view

    • Individual Post view

Editing a Post

1. You can edit a Post either from the Blog "list" page or from the Post "detail" page

  • To edit from the Blog List

    • Click the MANAGE button

    • Click the POSTS tab

    • Click the Pencil in the Actions column next to the Post you want to edit

  • To edit from the Post Detail

    • On the Blog List page, click the title of the Post you want to edit

    • Click the EDIT POST button

2. The next page is the same as when adding a Post - tabs for Content, Summary & Metadata, & Publishing Details

  • Content tab

    • Update/edit the post after initial creation

    • Making changes to content at this point will not update the Summary that shows on the list page

  • Summary & Metadata - everything on this tab is optional.

    • Updating the content here will change the Post preview on the List page

    • Uploading an image will add it next to the Post on the List page, as well as a banner on the Post Detail page

      • The bad news is these images are not the same size or aspect ratio

      • The best size is 1140x642, where the main subject is centered vertically 121px off the top & bottom edges.  This will keep the full image on the List page, and the cropped image for the Post Detail will still have the important parts.

    • Tags can be used to group posts together.  These can be created directly from the Summary tab.

      • Once a tag is created, it will show up in a dropmenu when adding to another Post (you just have to start typing)
